Dear John is scheduled to be released in the month of February of 2010. It is romantic drama. The lead characters of the film are Amanda Seyfriend and Channing Tatum. The movie is an adaptation from a novel of Nicholas Spark of same name.
The credit of directing this wonderful movies goes to Lasse Hallstrom. This movie Dear John in fact is the most awaited movie of the year. Dear John explores the love dynamics between a young couple. However, if you have read the book you will be able to know what the additions and alternations that have been made in the movie in order to dramatize the plot.
John Tyree is a young solider. He meets Savannah when he comes home on a leave from his job to North Carolina. Tyree falls in love with Savannah at his very first sight. She always came in his minds. This girl at that time was pursuing a special course from Wringhtsville Beach. After few meeting they both in love with one another.
But now time has come for John to start leading his army life again. As a result, he is compelled to leave his girlfriend for the work commitments. John when leaves his beloved promises her to marry after he compels his tenure in Army. He promises to come back to her after he finishes up his operation.
So, they keep in touch with each other by means of writing letters. They keep on writing letters for about seven years. The letters of Savannah were the only things, which kept him going amidst all the hardships of life. The memories of being together kept their passion alive and so the physical distance didn’t act as an obstacle in their relation.
Everything seemed to be perfectly fine until and unless the disaster of 9/11. The spirit of revenge and fear made John forget his beloved. He then fully committed himself to serve his nation. Time went through and Savannah simply kept waiting. Then came one day when she wrote a letter to him bidding him goodbye forever.
Dear John movie is simply a great exploration of relationships and emotions. There are some sub plots, which have been entwined elaborately to the main plot. If you really want to know what really happens to the relationship of John and his beloved, watch out the movie. It’s a wonderful movie.
